Kathy Kilgo, Voice

 Kathy has been teaching classical voice and performing professionally for over 10 years. Along with her private studio, she also teaches voice as Adjunct Professor at UALR. She completed her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Central Arkansas and her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Southern California. She is a Regional Finalist, Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Mid-South Region.
She has studied with many teachers including, Elizabeth Hynes, Martha Antolik, Robert Holden, Clark Dugger, and Christine Donahue. She has also had the opportunity to study under many vocal coaches including Michael Hampe, Elvia Pucenilli, and Alan Smith. This variety in teaching instruction has enabled her to more thoroughly understand teaching methods and the proper delivery of instruction.

Along with her teaching experiences, she has also had the opportunity to perform several complete opera roles, numerous opera scenes, musical productions, and many degree recitals.
She instructs students on how to improve their vocal ability by using correct breathing, posture, projection, stage presence, etc. Kathy uses several methods in her teaching including the "Bel Canto" method of singing.
